About this plant
This compact, tree-form deciduous shrub boasts a striking, upright habit with a mature height of approximately 36 inches. Hardy in USDA zones 5-9, it thrives in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 90°F. The flowers showcase a mesmerizing blend of cream and red tones with a strong, sweet fragrance, making it a popular choice for ornamental gardens. It offers minimal fall color and does not produce significant fruit. Best grown in well-drained, enriched loamy soil with consistent moisture, this plant prefers full sun to encourage vibrant blooms. The symmetrical tree form makes it ideal as a focal point or patio accent. With moderate deer resistance, it is both functional and visually stunning for landscape enthusiasts.
