Lacy light green foliage contrasts nicely with the showy burgundy stems. Cut back in late winter to allow for new fronds. Does not tolerate clay soils well.
Upright/clumping habitat. Moderate grower. Prefers well-drained soil. Silvery fronds with a dramatic burgundy-purple overtone add eye-catching color to shady areas of the landscape. Mature foliage is silver-green with purple midribs.
Attractive silvery green fronds with contrasting red to burgundy stems. May take a couple of years for red to intensify. Will provide lots of color and stucture to any shade bed.
