About this plant
This stunning ornamental vine boasts a compact, deciduous habit and is ideal for trellises, arbors, and fences. Hardy in zones 5–9, it thrives in moderate temperatures and full sun to partial shade. 'Amethyst Falls' produces cascading clusters of fragrant, lavender-purple flowers in late spring and early summer, adding vibrant color to the landscape. The vine can reach a height of 15–25 feet, making it a versatile choice for garden spaces. It prefers well-drained soil enriched with organic matter for optimal growth and is moderately deer-resistant. Fall foliage transitions to subtle yellow hues. Despite its robust size, it offers a manageable weight and lush form, enhancing privacy and visual interest in any outdoor setting.
