About this plant
Veronica 'Royal Candles' is a herbaceous perennial known for its stunning spiky blue-violet flower spikes that rise elegantly above neatly mounded, dark green foliage. With a compact and upright habit, it reaches a mature height of approximately 18 inches, making it perfect for borders, containers, or as a striking addition to any garden bed. This plant thrives in USDA hardiness zones 4-8 and prefers full sun to partial shade, tolerating a wide range of temperatures within these zones. It exhibits excellent deer resistance, making it a good choice for gardens in deer-prone areas. The vibrant color and graceful form of Veronica 'Royal Candles' not only attract pollinators like butterflies and bees but also provide a lush, colorful display from late spring through summer.
