About this plant
This deciduous shrub features a compact, upright habit, perfect for small gardens or as a focal point in mixed borders. Hardy in Zones 3-7, it thrives in full sun and well-drained, fertile soils. It showcases fragrant, deep purple flowers in mid to late spring, attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies to your garden. The foliage is lush green throughout the growing season and may develop subtle yellow tones in the fall. Its mature height reaches 6-8 feet, with a spread of 4-6 feet, forming a dense, rounded shape. This lilac cultivar is moderately deer-resistant and makes an excellent choice for cut flowers or informal hedges.
