About this plant
This dense, mat-forming groundcover has a low-growing habit, staying under 1 inch in height, making it an ideal choice for pathways, rock gardens, or as a lawn alternative. Hardy in zones 4-8, it thrives in cooler climates but prefers moderate temperatures and partial to full sun. Its vibrant green foliage provides year-round interest, and in late spring to early summer, it blooms with tiny, star-like white flowers that add a soft, delicate touch. Requiring well-drained, moderately fertile soil, it tolerates light foot traffic, making it practical for high-use areas. Deer-resistant and evergreen, this low-maintenance plant is perfect for those looking to create lush, verdant ground coverage that is attractive and durable.
