About this plant
This deciduous, spreading shrub rose boasts a compact, mounding habit, reaching a height of 1-2 feet and spreading up to 3-4 feet, making it perfect for groundcover or cascading over walls. It is hardy in USDA Zones 4-9, thriving in temperatures ranging from -30°F to 95°F. The delicate pink blooms appear in late spring and continue through summer, offering a stunning display. It has no notable fall color but produces small orange-red hips in the fall that add interest and attract birds. Preferring well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil, this rose is tolerant of clay and sandy soils as long as proper drainage is provided. Its deer-resistant nature makes it an excellent choice for rural landscapes. A low-maintenance yet show-stopping addition for borders, garden beds, or slope stabilization efforts.
