About this plant
This compact and bushy deciduous shrub boasts a rounded habit, making it an excellent choice for borders or mixed garden beds. Hardy in USDA zones 5-11, it thrives best in full sun and well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil. It performs well in temperatures ranging from 10°F to 100°F, showcasing impressive heat and disease resistance. The plant blooms profusely from spring through frost with semi-double, fragrant, peach-colored flowers that provide continuous interest. Glossy, dark green foliage forms a stunning backdrop and keeps its vibrancy throughout the growing season, though it may offer little to no fall color. It grows to an average mature height of 3-4 feet, with a similar spread, and is notably deer resistant. While the plant does not bear significant fruit, its low-maintenance nature, self-cleaning flowers, and adaptability to landscape designs make it a popular choice for gardens.
