About this plant
This compact, rounded shrub showcases a vigorous habit, reaching a mature height of about 3-4 feet with a similar width. Hardy in zones 5-11, it thrives in full sun with moderate temperatures, tolerating heat well but requiring protection from extreme cold. Its vibrant cherry-red flowers bloom continuously from spring to frost, providing long-lasting color. Fall foliage transforms into a rich burgundy hue, adding seasonal interest. This cultivar is notably disease-resistant, including high resistance to black spot and powdery mildew. It prefers well-drained, slightly acidic soil and demonstrates excellent deer resistance. With no significant fruit production, it's easy to maintain and perfect for borders, mass plantings, or containers.
