About this plant
This groundcover rose features a low, spreading habit, making it ideal for cascading over walls or filling in garden beds. Hardy in USDA Zones 4-9, it thrives in full sun and tolerates temperatures down to -30°F. Its vibrant red, semi-double blooms appear in abundance, creating a striking display throughout the growing season. The foliage remains a healthy green, and while fall color is not a primary feature, the plant provides continuous floral interest. It is noted for its resistance to common rose diseases and is moderately deer resistant. Prefers well-drained, fertile soil and benefits from routine pruning to maintain shape. At maturity, it reaches a height of 12-24 inches with a spread of 3-4 feet, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance borders or groundcover.
