About this plant
This climbing variety delivers an eye-catching display with a vigorous habit and striking purple and white striped flowers that bloom repeatedly throughout the growing season. Recommended for zones 5-9, it flourishes in well-drained, slightly acidic soils and thrives in full sun. Hardy in temperatures as low as -20°F, it offers moderate deer resistance and matures to a height of 10-12 feet, creating a graceful vertical form perfect for trellises or walls. While it does not provide notable fall color, its fragrant blooms and occasional rosehips add seasonal interest. Ideal for gardeners seeking a dramatic focal point and pollinator-friendly addition to their landscape.
