About this plant
This vigorous, climbing beauty showcases stunning red blooms that appear in clusters throughout the growing season, offering a vibrant splash of color. With a climbing habit, it is perfect for trellises, arbors, or fences. It thrives in USDA hardiness zones 5-9, preferring full sun and well-drained soil. Highly heat-tolerant, it performs well in recommended temperatures ranging from 60–85°F. While it doesn’t offer significant fall color, its glossy green foliage adds an attractive backdrop to its radiant flowers. It produces no notable fruit and reaches a mature height of approximately 10–12 feet. Though not entirely deer-resistant, it is moderately avoided by pests. Its charming blooms make it a stunning addition to any garden setting.
