About this plant
This vigorous climbing rose boasts a rambling habit and produces an abundance of striking red, semi-double blooms throughout the season, making it a standout choice for trellises, fences, or arbors. Hardy in zones 5-9, it thrives in temperatures ranging from moderate to warm climates and prefers well-drained, fertile soil with good sun exposure. Its dark green foliage provides a lovely contrast to the vibrant flowers, while its fall color remains subtle. Though not known for producing decorative fruit, the plant's flower display compensates beautifully. Reaching a mature height of 12-15 feet, it makes a bold vertical statement and is moderately resistant to deer.?
