About this plant
Penstemon hybrida 'Cherry Sparks' is a vibrant perennial plant known for its stunning spikes of cherry-red tubular flowers that add a pop of color to any garden. With a clump-forming habit, this plant thrives in well-drained soil under full sun to partial shade. 'Cherry Sparks' is recommended for USDA hardiness zones 5-9, where it can withstand temperatures down to -20°F (-29°C). This deer-resistant variety typically reaches a height of 2-3 feet, making it an excellent choice for borders and containers. Its striking blossoms attract hummingbirds and butterflies, providing both a visual and ecological benefit to your garden.
