About this plant
Penstemon barbatus Pristine™ Blue is a striking perennial well-suited for rock gardens and borders with a graceful, upright habit. This plant thrives best in USDA hardiness zones 5-9, and it loves full sun, flourishing in temperatures ranging from 55 to 75°F. It is renowned for its vivid blue tubular flowers, which can reach a mature height of about 24-36 inches, attracting hummingbirds and butterflies to your garden. The flowers bloom from late spring into early summer, adding a splash of color to any landscape. Although it's not particularly noted for deer resistance, its appeal to pollinators and low maintenance needs make it a favorite among gardeners looking to add a splash of blue to their plant palette.
