About this plant
Paeonia 'Whopper' is a stunning deciduous perennial renowned for its large, frilly, and aromatic pink blooms that can add an elegant touch to any garden. This peony variety has a mounded habit and thrives in USDA hardiness zones 3 through 8. It prefers temperatures ranging from 60°F to 75°F for optimal growth. The 'Whopper' can reach impressive heights of up to 36 inches, forming a dominant presence in mixed borders or as a standalone specimen. While it is not entirely deer-resistant, its robust flowers and foliage often deter these garden pests. The 'Whopper' peony is a seasonal delight, perfect for adding vibrant color and a sweet fragrance to spring and early summer garden displays.
