About this plant
Paeonia lactiflora 'Pietertje Vriend Wagenaar', commonly known as a variety of herbaceous peony, is revered for its spectacular soft pink blooms. This perennial plant flourishes in a clump-forming habit and is recommended for USDA hardiness zones 3 through 8, thriving best in temperatures that provide a chilling winter period. It resounds in sunny borders, offering lush blooms that typically peak in late spring to early summer. With a mature height reaching around 32 to 36 inches, its robust stems support large, fragrant flowers known to attract pollinators while also being deer-resistant, thus making it a resilient and beautiful addition to a variety of garden settings.
