About this plant
Kniphofia 'Red Hot Popsicle™' PP24036 is a striking perennial renowned for its vibrant, tubular flower spikes that resemble the classic 'red hot pokers'. With a clumping habit, this plant is ideal for adding vertical interest and fiery color to beds and borders. It thrives in USDA hardiness zones 6-9, preferring full sun and tolerating a wide range of soil types, provided they are well-draining. It can withstand average temperatures but is frost-tender, so providing winter protection in cooler areas is advisable. Its showy red-orange flowers are deer-resistant and attract hummingbirds and butterflies, creating a lively garden scene. At maturity, the plant can reach a height of 24 inches, making it a modest addition suitable for smaller gardens or mixed perennial arrangements.
