Grass, Juncus patens

This perennial, evergreen ornamental grass features a dense, clumping habit with upright, slender, blue-green leaves, offering a unique texture to garden designs. It is recommended for USDA Hardiness Zones 5-10 and thrives in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 85°F. Deer-resistant and highly adaptable, it performs well in wet or consistently moist soils, making it ideal for rain gardens, ponds, and water features. It produces small, inconspicuous bronze-brown flowers in summer that add subtle charm. With a mature height of 2-4 feet and a spreading form, it requires little maintenance and is an excellent choice for erosion control or as a textural element in modern landscapes.
