About this plant
Iris ensata 'Dinner Plate™ Eileen's Dream', commonly known as Japanese Iris, showcases large, vibrant violet-purple blooms that create a striking presence in any garden. This clump-forming perennial thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers consistently moist, acidic soil. It is recommended for USDA Hardiness Zones 4 to 9, withstanding temperatures ranging from -30°F to 30°F. Deer-resistant, it stands at a mature height of about 36-40 inches, making it an excellent choice for borders, water gardens, or as a focal point in landscape designs. The bold color and impressive size of its flowers, resembling a 'dinner plate', add a luxurious touch to any garden setting.
