About this plant
This deciduous shrub exhibits a compact, mounding habit, making it perfect for garden borders, containers, or as a focal point in smaller landscapes. It is recommended for hardiness zones 4-9 and thrives best in moderate temperatures, preferring partial shade to full sun. The vibrant blue flowers emerge in summer, providing a striking display, especially in acidic soils, while its lush green foliage turns a mellow golden hue in fall. The plant favors moist, well-drained soil and benefits from organic amendments to maintain pH levels for optimal bloom color. With a mature height of up to 3 feet and similar spread, it maintains a rounded shape and form. Known for moderate deer resistance and its ability to tolerate coastal conditions, this hydrangea is ideal for garden enthusiasts seeking durable beauty.
