About this plant
Hosta 'Climax' is a stunning perennial prized for its eye-catching, heart-shaped foliage. This plant boasts large green leaves with striking golden-yellow margins, adding a splash of color to shaded garden areas. It typically grows in a mounded habit and reaches a height of about 28 inches, making it an excellent choice for borders or as a feature plant in shaded or partially shaded areas. 'Climax' hostas thrive in USDA hardiness zones 3 to 9, preferring temperatures that do not exceed 95°F during the day. This hardy plant is also known for its moderate deer resistance, enhancing its suitability for woodland gardens. In midsummer, it produces pale lavender flowers atop tall, slender scapes, which attract pollinators and add an elegant touch to its lush foliage.
