The plant is semi-evergreen and exhibits a mounding habit, typically reaching a mature height of 12-18 inches. It thrives well in USDA Hardiness Zones 4-9, indicating a wide range of climatic adaptability. It is best grown in partial shade to full shade environments, ensuring temperatures do not drop below -30°F. Although weight is not typically specified for ornamental plants like Heuchera, this plant is known for its compact and low-growing nature. It is also noted for being moderately deer resistant, making it a favored choice for gardens prone to deer visitation. The 'Black Taffeta' can add dramatic contrast to borders, containers, or shade gardens with its elegant and unique coloration.
