About this plant
This deciduous shrub features an upright, vase-shaped habit with dense branching, making it an attractive focal point or hedge option. Recommended for hardiness zones 5-9, it thrives in temperatures ranging from moderate to warm climates. Its stunning violet-blue flowers appear throughout the summer and into early fall, adding a splash of vibrant color to your garden. While it doesn’t offer notable fall foliage, its eye-catching blooms more than compensate. It prefers moist, well-drained soil but is adaptable to a wide range of soil types. Deer-resistant and low-maintenance, it reaches a mature height of 8-10 feet and is ideal for creating privacy screens or standalone accents. Its elegant blooms attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, adding ecological value to your landscape.
