About this plant
Dianthus barbatus 'Rockin' Red' is a captivating perennial with a bushy, upright habit, ideal for adding vibrant color to garden beds, borders, and containers. Hardy in USDA zones 6-9, it thrives best in full sun and well-drained soil. This variety can withstand temperatures between -10°F to 20°F, making it a resilient choice for many gardeners. Known for its rich red blooms, 'Rockin' Red' will attract pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds while offering a stunning visual appeal. The plant typically reaches a height of 18 to 24 inches and is not specifically noted for its deer resistance, so protection measures may be needed in areas with heavy deer activity. Enjoy the cheerful and long-lasting display of color that 'Rockin' Red' brings to your garden.
