About this plant
This elegant perennial features a graceful, arching habit with fern-like foliage and drooping, heart-shaped flowers in shades of pink and white that dangle from slender stems in spring. Ideal for zones 3-9, it thrives in cool, shaded areas and prefers moist, well-draining soils. Reaching a mature height of 2-3 feet, it has no significant fall color but its attractive foliage can persist through early fall in mild climates. Deer-resistant and low maintenance, this plant adds charm to woodland gardens and shaded borders. It is best suited to temperatures between 55°F and 75°F and benefits from a mulch layer to maintain soil moisture. Perfect for softening landscape edges or pairing with other shade-loving perennials.
