About this plant
Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Fastigiata', commonly known as Upright Japanese Plum Yew, is a compact, evergreen shrub valued for its dense foliage and vertical growth habit. Its dark green, needle-like leaves form lush, upright columns, making it an excellent choice for hedge planting, foundation plantings, or as a specimen in smaller gardens. With its slow growth and adaptability, it thrives in shaded areas where other evergreens might struggle. This deer-resistant and low-maintenance shrub brings texture and structure to any landscape.
