About this plant
This deciduous shrub displays an upright, rounded habit, reaching a mature height of approximately 8-12 feet. It is hardy in USDA zones 5-8 and thrives in well-drained, acidic to neutral soils, preferring partial shade to full sun. During spring and early summer, it delights with clusters of soft pink flowers, followed by attractive fruit. Its foliage transforms into breathtaking shades of burgundy and red in the fall, adding seasonal interest to the landscape. Renowned for its deer resistance, this variety works well in woodland gardens, borders, or as a focal point. Its graceful shape and vibrant fall color make it a standout choice for those seeking a low-maintenance, beautiful addition to their garden.
