About this plant
This deciduous ornamental tree features a rounded habit and striking pink blossoms that bloom in spring, offering a stunning focal point in any garden. Suitable for USDA hardiness zones 5-9, it thrives in temperatures ranging from moderate to mild winters. The showy pink flowers give way to small red fruits that attract birds and other wildlife. Its fall foliage showcases vivid shades of purple and red, providing a seasonal spectacle. Best grown in well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil, this tree prefers partial sun to partial shade. It matures to a height of approximately 15-30 feet with a similar spread. Deer resistance is moderate, making it a reliable choice for landscapes in areas with browsing wildlife. With its graceful form and year-round interest, this tree is both a practical and aesthetic addition to gardens.
