About this plant
This shrub boasts an upright, rounded habit and is well-suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 3 to 7. It thrives in temperatures ranging from cool to moderate climates, making it ideal for northern gardens. The striking cream-and-green variegated foliage provides a unique visual interest throughout the growing season and showcases subtle reddish stems in winter, adding year-round appeal. During fall, the foliage transitions to soft hues for added seasonal beauty. It produces small clusters of white flowers in late spring, followed by white berries that attract birds. Preferring moist, well-drained soil, it adapts well to a variety of soil types and demonstrates excellent deer resistance. At maturity, it reaches a height of 4 to 5 feet and develops a similar width, forming a rounded shape perfect for foundation planting, borders, or standalone accent pieces.
