About this plant
Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Gracilis', commonly known as Slender Hinoki Cypress, is a compact, ornamental evergreen conifer prized for its graceful, pyramidal form and layered, rich green, fan-like foliage. Ideal for adding texture and architectural interest to gardens or landscapes, this slow-growing variety works well in small spaces or as a specimen plant. 'Gracilis' thrives in well-drained, slightly acidic soil and can tolerate partial shade to full sun. Its elegant shape and dense foliage make it a versatile choice for foundation plantings, mixed borders, or even large containers.
