About this plant
This compact and mounding deciduous shrub features vibrant foliage that begins as deep red in spring, transitions to a fiery reddish-orange during autumn, and provides a striking visual contrast throughout the growing season. Hardy to USDA zones 4–8, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soils. Its small, yellow flowers appear in spring, followed by inconspicuous red berries in fall that add seasonal interest.
