Berberis thunbergii 'Lime Glow'

This deciduous shrub boasts a compact, mounded habit with striking lime-green to chartreuse foliage that may develop hints of orange-red in the fall. Hardy in USDA Zones 4-8, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and performs well in a variety of soil types, provided they are well-drained. Tolerant of temperatures down to -30°F, this plant is known for its deer resistance, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance landscapes. At maturity, it typically reaches a height of 2-3 feet and spreads 2-3 feet wide, creating a rounded, dense shape. Though flowers are inconspicuous, the plant may produce small red berries in the fall, adding additional seasonal interest. Ideal for borders, foundations, or as an accent plant, it’s a vibrant addition to any garden.
