About this plant
Acer shirasawanum 'Moonrise', commonly known as Moonrise Full Moon Maple, is a stunning deciduous tree prized for its striking foliage. The tree features an ever-changing display of vibrant leaf colors throughout the seasons — emerging in spring with brilliant red-orange tones, transitioning to a fresh chartreuse green in summer, and glowing with warm yellow and red hues in autumn. Its compact size and unique beauty make it a favorite for small spaces, containers, or focal points in the garden. Resistant to leaf burn, 'Moonrise' thrives even with exposure to more sunlight compared to other Japanese maple varieties.
