About this plant
Acer palmatum 'Yubae' is a striking cultivar of Japanese maple, prized for its finely textured leaves and brilliant seasonal color. Its foliage emerges in spring with rich shades of red, transitioning to deeper crimson hues as the year progresses. The elegant, upright branching structure adds architectural interest to gardens, making it a standout specimen in landscapes or containers. Ideal for providing vibrant color and a soft focal point, 'Yubae' performs best in partially shaded locations and protected areas to preserve its vivid foliage from scorching sunlight. This variety is a favorite for traditional Japanese gardens or diverse garden styles seeking a touch of elegance.
