About this plant
Acer palmatum 'Shoryu no tsume' is a striking and unique Japanese maple variety known for its claw-like leaf lobes that resemble dragon's nails, adding an exotic appeal to gardens. This compact deciduous tree features deeply divided foliage that emerges vibrant red or purple in spring, transitions to lush green in summer, and finishes with stunning shades of orange and red in autumn. Ideal for small spaces, containers, or as a focal point in mixed landscapes, this cultivar grows gracefully with moderate vigor and an upright, spreading form, offering year-round ornamental value to any outdoor space.
