About this plant
Acer palmatum 'Aka shigitatsu sawa' is a stunning Japanese maple cultivar prized for its striking foliage and elegant growth habit. In spring, its leaves emerge with creamy-white centers adorned with bold green veins, later transitioning to shades of soft pink or red. By fall, the vibrant foliage deepens to rich crimson tones, creating a spectacular seasonal display. This variety is ideal for gardens needing a sophisticated focal point and performs well in containers or small landscapes. Its compact size makes it suitable for urban gardens or patios, while its intricate leaf patterns add unique texture and visual interest year-round.
