About this plant
Aconitum cam. 'Bicolor', commonly known as Bicolor Monkshood, is a captivating perennial known for its striking two-toned flowers in shades of white and violet-blue, adding a touch of elegance to any garden. This plant forms a clumping habit and typically reaches a height of 3 to 4 feet. Hardy in USDA zones 3 to 7, it thrives in cool climates and prefers moderately fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture. Ideal growing temperatures range from 50°F to 70°F. Notably, Aconitum 'Bicolor' exhibits strong deer resistance, making it an excellent choice for gardens prone to wildlife browsing. While its beauty is undeniable, caution should be taken as all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
