ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

This evergreen conifer features a tall, pyramidal habit with soft, green needles that emit a pleasant aroma when crushed. It thrives in USDA hardiness zones 4-6 and prefers mild climates typical of western Oregon and Washington, with recommended temperatures ranging between 20°F to 80°F for optimal growth. Adapted to well-drained, moist soils, it can tolerate a variety of soil types, though it performs best in slightly acidic to neutral conditions. With no notable fall color due to its evergreen nature, its foliage remains vibrant year-round. Mature height ranges from 70 to 250 feet, with a mature width of 15 to 40 feet, depending on site conditions. This towering tree serves as an excellent wind barrier or specimen tree for spacious landscapes. It exhibits moderate deer resistance and produces small, papery seed cones that add seasonal interest. The Western Oregon and Washington cultivar is ideal for its specific regional climate and ecological needs.
