Cornus x ru. 'Aurora'® (white) (BBP)

AURORA® FLOWERING DOGWOOD
ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

This deciduous small tree or large shrub boasts a rounded shape and upright, spreading habit, ideal for ornamental landscapes. Hardy in USDA Zones 5-8, it thrives in temperatures ranging from -20°F to 90°F. The foliage emerges green, turning a striking reddish-purple in fall, adding seasonal interest. From late spring to early summer, creamy white, petal-like bracts surround small greenish flowers, creating a showy display. It may produce small, red, berry-like fruits in late summer, providing food for birds. Prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soils and performs well in full sun to partial shade. This cultivar is moderately deer resistant and typically grows to a height of 20-25 feet with a similar spread. Its ornamental foliage, flowers, and fall color make it a standout feature in any garden setting.
