It is favored for its unique, heart-shaped leaves that emerge reddish-purple in spring, mature to blue-green in summer, and transform into a spectacular display of yellow, orange, and red tones in autumn. The foliage releases a sweet fragrance reminiscent of burnt sugar or caramel when fallen. This elegant tree develops a rounded, spreading crown and is perfect for large landscapes or as a specimen tree. It thrives in moist, well-drained soils.
