YELLOWTWIG DOGWOOD
ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

This deciduous shrub showcases an upright, spreading habit, with vibrant yellow-green stems that provide striking winter interest. Recommended for USDA hardiness zones 3-8, it thrives in cooler climates and tolerates temperatures down to -40°F. The foliage transitions to a stunning reddish-purple in the fall, enhancing seasonal appeal. In late spring to early summer, small clusters of creamy-white flowers appear, followed by white to bluish berries that attract birds. This shrub prefers moist, well-drained soils but tolerates wet or slightly acidic conditions, making it an excellent choice for erosion control or rain gardens. At maturity, it reaches 5-9 feet in height and width, forming a rounded or slightly irregular shape. Deer resistant and easy to maintain, it’s a versatile addition to naturalized areas, borders, or mass plantings.
