INVENTORY MANAGER
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Manager to oversee and maintain our plant stock and supply inventory. This role is crucial to ensuring smooth nursery operations and aligning inventory availability with business goals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in nursery operations, inventory control, and a proactive mindset to track, organize, and optimize plant inventory.
Location: Aurora, Oregon
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of plant knowledge or nursery/horticulture experience (required)
- Proven experience in inventory management or similar roles
- Familiarity with inventory software systems (e.g. SBI)
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- An analytical mind with strong math skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or equivalent experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize inventory control procedures
- Conduct accurate plant stock counts by location
- Coordinate master inventory counts (Jan 1 & July 1 annually)
- Schedule and lead cycle counts by category, section, or greenhouse block
- Track incoming and outgoing plant material, losses, and location transfers
- Ensure timely stock replenishment and avoid overstocking
- Maintain and update inventory records regularly
- Collaborate with the owner on stock level reports and discrepancies
- Prepare inventory and availability reports for internal use and marketing
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
- Inventory control: 1 year (Preferred)
- Supervisory: 1 year (Preferred)
- Inventory management: 1 year (Preferred)
